The good news
Everyone loves to receive good news. We love to receive news about a new child being born to getting a promotion at work. Everything that we as believers do and the reason we exist is because of God’s love and the forgiveness he has given us through his son Jesus.
God’s plan with you has not changed and He still has a beautiful plan for your life. Maybe at this time the path you chose does not align with His path but TODAY is the day to once again align your path with God’s path for your life.
The only way to align yourself with God and have an eternal future in heaven is through a relationship with Jesus Christ.
1) For God So Loved
God loves you because you are His creation.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16-4
But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.” Ephesians 2:4-5
2) You are a sinner.
God made mankind to be rulers of everything and to be fruitful Genesis 1:26-28. God had commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. When they decided to eat the fruit it marked the fall of man.
Sin is choosing to go your own way and do your own thing as opposed to being obedient to God.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Isaiah 53:6
3) Sin
Sin separates you from God. God is holy and as a sinner, a fellowship with God can’t happen. Continuing in a life filled with sin will take you to an eternal damnation that we take you to Hell.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. Isaiah 59.2
4) You can’t save yourself.
God’s salvation is not something that you can buy or receive by performing acts of kindness.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-95
5) God sent His son Jesus to demonstrate His love for us.
We are God’s creation and although mankind sinned against him, God did not intended sin to be in our lives. When God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sinful for us, He was doing this so we could become the righteousness of God.
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8-8
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
6) FAITH is the key
F IS FOR FORGIVENESS,
We cannot have eternal life and heaven without God’s Forgiveness
A IS FOR AVAILABLE,
Forgiveness is Available
I IS FOR IMPOSSIBLE,
It is impossible for God to allow sin into Heaven
T IS FOR TURN,
Turn means to repent
H IS FOR HEAVEN,
Heaven is eternal life
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:9-10
7) PRAYER brings you back to God
Admit to God that you are a sinner.
Express repentance for your sins.
Ask Him to forgive your sins.
Invite Jesus into your life as Lord and Savior.
Commit yourself to live for Him.
If you are ready to receive Jesus into your life pray this prayer:
Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner and have displeased You in many ways. I believe You died for my sin and only through faith in Your death and resurrection can I be forgiven. I want to turn from my sin and ask You to come into my life as my Savior and Lord. From this day on, I will follow You by living a life that pleases You. Thank You Lord Jesus, for saving me. Amen
